Meet Juniper!
Born and raised in her hometown in the southern midwest, Junie particulary enjoys the outdoors and exploring the forests and valleys surrounding her. Following completion of higher education, Junie has dabbled in automotive mechanics, jewelry-making, baking, oil painting, web design, programming, and photography - just to name a few. Her fixations include cats, plants, rocks, cameras, keyboards, sewing machines, tanks/armored vehicles, and any form of internal combustion-powered transportation.
June's favorite color is green, a mix of matcha tea and the inside of an avocado. Her favorite vehicles are pickup trucks and japanese compact cars - with manual transmissions of course. She loves breakfast foods like bacon, pancakes, waffles, and fried eggs, as well as garlic bread, chicken strips, and anything made from potatoes. She also particularly enjoys African and Indian dishes, such as Doro Wat or Lamb Korma respectively.
Photography
Lately, June has been delving deep into photography, starting a collection of cameras and lenses. After catching the photography bug with her roommate's Nikon D3500, It all began with June's Nikon Z30 - a mirrorless APS-C "vlogger-oriented" camera. After tens of thousands of shots through the Z30, Junie started her vintage camera foray with the Canon Digital Rebel XT, an 8-megapixel DSLR released in February of 2005. After the better part of a year and a handful of other cameras like the Nikon Coolpix 995, Pentax K-r, and Fujifilm Finepix S1 Pro, she finally started exploring film photography. The first roll of film she ever had developed was a roll of Kodak Gold 400 in a Yashica 230AF, and she began her home-development adventures with a roll of Fuji 400 out of a Mamiya-Sekor 500DTL. 35mm (135) format SLRs from the 1960s-70s are her current favorite, since they allow manual control of all possible settings while still being affordable and easy to use without worrying about batteries. In the future, she wishes to acquire more medium format film cameras and develop/print more from 120/620 cameras.
